THE DEMAND
Australian organisations seek degree-qualified engineers in the following disciplines: Building Services, Chemical, Civil & Structural, Electrical, Environmental, Industrial, Marine, Mechanical & Manufacturing, Mining and Resources.

THE JOBS
Due to the nature and size of projects currently happening in Australia, engineering jobs range from positions within the metropolitan areas of Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide to the more remote areas where “fly-in-fly-out” is part of the position.

THE RELOCATION SUPPORT
Many clients give relocation support to migrants. For example, the employer sponsor of a senior engineer may offer air tickets, shipping and housing support. Most clients also pay the visa costs.

THE SALARY
Most engineers with five years experience attract a salary package of at least AUD$120K, and this increases with years of experience. Engineers with project management and construction management experience could expect salaries of over AUD$200K, depending on job location, level and scope.

THE VISA
Qualified engineers can qualify to migrate on a skilled visa or an employer sponsored visa. Sponsored visas are faster (you could be working in Australia within three months) and you can also have your general skilled visa processing whilst you are on a sponsorship visa, leading to future permanent residence.
