This public sector organisation are currently looking to appoint a Hospital Engineer to join their Facilities and Estates team.

The role demands you to hold a relevent qualification within an engineering discipline as well as being charterd in the field.

The main duties within this role are:

To be responsible for ensuring that operation and maintenance of engineering systems including contractors work is carried out to appropriate standatrds and specification, and within budget.

Line management responsibiltiy for all maintenance engineering staff within teh department.

To oversee and manage the compliance of standards, statutory requirements/ordinances in respect of the building facilities, building engineering operation and maintenance services in hospitals.

To coordinate, liaise with and monitor the performance of various service providers including outside consultants and contractors etc.

To oversee and manage the Services Level Agreements (SLA), outsourcing contracts and contract out services/works of building services engineering facilities.

To control and manage the financial budgets of the hard facilities maintenance and repairs service;

To provide professional and technical engineering support to the cluster Facilities Management Department on the planning, co-ordination and management of new / improvement projects;

To oversee and supervise the manpower resources for in-house operation and maintenance of building facilities and engineering services for hospitals as well as first-line and emergency attendances;

To formulate and review the Standard Operational Procedures and service standards of the department through service audits and management reporting;

To analyze and report on energy/ utility consumptions for hospitals, recommend and implement energy/ utility conservation projects and initiatives;

To provide professional and technical support to Procurement and Supplies Department on the co-ordination, monitoring, and management of various service providers for hospital medical equipment maintenance;
