Assistant Manager Required
We are looking for a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager to join the team here in Bath!
This is a retail/ catering role, which would give the right person the opportunity to run our baguette shop as your own business. Reporting directly to a Multi-Unit Manager, you will need to be passionate and service driven to suceed.
Our shop operates from 5am in the morning until 9pm at night, 7 days a week. This is a very people driven business and we reward with promotion from within and an excellent salary package.
The ideal candidate MUST have previous retail management experiance and a proven track record of delivering service to the highest standards.

Official Job Description:
Assisting in the management and development of a team of people to create a sales driven culture that delivers consistent operational excellence and sustained profitable growth and as appropriate deputies for the Unit Manager in their absence.
This is achieved by ensuring that the company operational standards are delivered to all of our customers all of the time.
Key to this success is the induction, training and ongoing development of the Unit Team to deliver the brand standards.
MAIN DUTIES
Financial Management and Control
Has a working knowledge on the completion of a weekly/Monthly review of Unit(s) financial performance
Understand Operational KPIs (e.g. average spend, sales per man hour etc) and uses the information to identify sales & performance opportunities)
Managing and controlling labour costs (£ & %) in line with current business expectations
Conducts accurate stock taking each week ensuring discrepancies on CV report are investigated, annotated and actioned
Team Management
Recruitment tools/process used consistently to ensure quality/skills/legal standards met
Where applicable sets and review objectives for Supervisors and Team Members and ensures performance appraisals are completed for teams and line with organisational expectations.
Assists in the management of poor performance and disciplinary issues (e.g. absence, punctuality, conduct)
Sales and Service Management
Continually monitors service levels when on site and coaches Supervisors and Team Members to improve speed of Service and Service quality.
Monitors sales performance and average spends and coaches team members to improve sales & service skills (e.g. Up selling, Add on Sales)
Assists in the review of the Units mystery shopper program and ensure appropriate action is taken by the team.
Manages customer dissatisfaction issues at Unit level as they occur.
Operational Management
Drives all team members to exceed company expectations relating to all company audits & acts quickly to rectify areas for improvement
Responds appropriately and timely to visits from external sources (e.g. EHO, Trading Standards, Police and the Client)
Ensures all procedures are in place and adhered to with regards to cash handling
Fully understands and complies with all statutory requirements (e.g. Licensing, Risk Assessments, H&S; Fire awareness. Accident reporting, Manual handling, Risk Assessments, Unit cleaning schedules etc)
Actively manages all Maintenance issues reporting, timely follow-up, escalation
Ensuring Supervisors managing shifts have been appropriately trained (e.g. attended BK mandatory programmes, Shift Manager Training)
Acts as manager when manager is out of business
Actively manages stock levels
Brand Integrity and Product Management
Understands fully and implements all brand standards (e.g. Critical standards/product knowledge/planograms and display principles etc)
Reviews the accurate implementation of production planning to drive down waste costs (where applicable)
Understands measures and drives for excellence in all brand audits internal and external.
Supports the effective implementation of all new promotions, marketing activity and product launches to time and quality standards
