Commis Chef Required salary dependent on experience
Hours- Lunch & Dinner shifts 5 days a week.
Variable hours as required by the Head Chef, but usually 10.30am-2.30pm and 5.30-11pm
Skills - Fluent in English. Basic Food and Hygiene Certificate
Experience - Experience in a similar role
Ability to demonstrate skilful food production of a variety of dishes to a high standard of preparation, production and presentation, working to costed recipes. Maintaining a safe, healthy and hygienic work environment in a food preparation area
Main Duties
• Under the direction of the Head Chef, prepare and produce food as directed using modern methods, equipment and fresh food
• Ensure that all food cooked and served is of a high quality.
• Ensure that all food is served at a safe and appropriate temperature using probes where necessary and to record same.
• Maintain sufficient stock levels of all food items
• Ensure that all areas in the kitchen are kept clean and tidy at all times
• To assist in clearing, cleaning, washing within the kitchen, including in-depth cleaning, using any approved specialised products and methods laid down.
• To maintain legal hygiene and safety requirements for food and equipment with particular responsibilities as laid down and agreed with the Head Chef and carry out training of subordinates where appropriate.
• To aid stock taking in conjunction with the Head Chef.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties from time to time
