Oppo players are well known for being the market leaders in upscaling picture quality - they use the high-end Faroudja DCDi technology to process video. It also has super-high resolution 24 bit 192 kHz DAC that allows it to make a great DVD-Audio and CD musical experience. It has a convenience of remote control regulating volume on all audio channels.
A great feature is a universal DVI/HDMI digital video output that means you can connect it to any HDMI HDTV equipment, but also to non-HDMI compliant (no HDCP decoding) equipment - all DVI computer monitors, and older DVI projectors and DVI LCD/Plasma panels.
Audiophiles know that Oppo players have bit-perfect playback of optical discs (Stereophile magazine recommended), and use them as digital-only transports for their expensive external digital-to-analogue convertors (DACs). Used as a digital transport, Oppo provides sound that is nothing short of spectacular. I was using this player with very expensive Benchmark DAC1 Pre and VTL valve amplifiers, and the result was leagues above other players.
Only selling this item because I am leaving the UK.
Attention! - the unit has got some scratches on the top cover - not noticeable in the rack or tv stand (see the photos).
