We are a young couple with a gorgeous 18m old son, living in the historic city of Bath. I work part time as a Doula (birth supporter) and my partner does environmental work. We have chosen to attachment parent, which means we keep our son, Zephyr with us as much as possible, he sleeps with us, breastfeeds and we try to meet his needs as much as possible rather than telling him what to do. We need someone who can understand these ideals and support us in them. It would be great to have someone who can help us with cooking and washing and keeping the house in order, gradually building up the time spent playing with Zephyr as he gets to know you. If you can drive we would be happy to insure you on our car.
The ideal Au Pair would be a non-smoker, looking for a long term family (at least a year). We want you to be part of the family but we also feel it is important that we both have our own space as well and will support you to find things you enjoy, or study English if you want. We only need 18 hours of help per week and in exchange for this can offer a lovely room, wholesome, organic (but not always vegetarian) food and £100 pocket money per month. We can be fairly flexible with when you do the hours. We would also like the option to ask for extra help sometimes (if one of us is ill or working a lot) and can offer £7.50 an hour for this.
